RUDEGAL started out on radio in 95' with Shannon Riley at KCSB, Santa Barbara. In 1996, she landed her own slot on KCLA/KLAS 89.7FM in Los Angeles. During this time she served as the Urban Music Director (96-98). At one point the show "From Da Yard" was broadcasted on KNDI in Hawaii and KPRO in Riverside, CA.

Having a show on such a limited station has not fulfilled the full plan RudeGal has envisioned. The music has always been number one and radio has been an outlet for the music. Plans are in the works to bring this show also titled "From Da Yard" to a station with a broader range to have more of an impact.

Meanwhile, as of June 2007, RUDEGAL has recently linked up with Sean Pressure and DJ Whoo Kid to bring the 'Reggae' content and artist interviews to their show on G-Unit radio with the newly merged XM Radio/Sirius Satellite. If you current have Sirius you can tune in each Saturday morning. This new addition of Reggae will begin September 2007. The new receivers combining both stations' channels will be released to the general public by Christmas.

If you have promotional material that you wish to be considered for air play on any radio RUDEGAL is affilated with, you can submit your material to: RudeGal /RudeGal Entertainment at 324 S Diamond Bar Blvd #242, Diamond Bar CA 91765. RADIO PON DA ENDS - LOS ANGELES:
Over the last several years, POWER 106 has been approached by a variety of radio personalities and club deejays looking for the opportunity to host a specialized Dancehall Reggae show on Power. In the last 5 years they have continued to refuse claiming there is no market.

With the success of Sean Paul's "Gimmie The Light", they actually created an 'in-house' Power 106 commercial that is aired during the day that incorporates the song "Gimmie The Light" but still gave no credit to it's genre Dancehall.

Thankfully, many of the Power mixers are spinning more and more Dancehall, but the station has yet to incorporate a full fledge Dancehall show. Until this happens, your best bet is to listen on Friday nights to "Friday Night Flavas" Previously, thanks to associated member DJ JFX - Hip Hop DJ turned Dancehall specialist, they've had several artists in the studios; Baby Cham, Buju Banton, Spragga Benz, TOK, Vegas and more.

What POWER 106 really needs is a Dancehall Reggae show. Email your request for a show. Tell them RUDEGAL sent you. Better yet - refer me!!!!

Sadly, the only Reggae radio show to hit mainstream in Los Angeles on a MAJOR Urban station - GET UP STAND UP with hosts Barbara Barabino and Dred Scott - formerly on KKBT 100.3FM - The Beat, was cancelled after 8 years. They briefly found a home at KDAY but that was also cancelled. Hopefully this will soon change.
